LITHONIA – The Lithonia Lady Bulldogs celebrated senior night with a 20-3 victory over Towers High School Wednesday night.
In three innings, the Lady Bulldogs hung 20 runs on the board after Towers took an early 1-0 lead. From the 1-0 lead it took until the third inning for Towers to mount a response but it was far too late.
“It was a tough loss but it’s bittersweet since Lithonia is my alma mater,” Towers head coach Wardrickes Britton said. “My girls are young and we’re mostly freshmen and sophomores and they have to learn how to work harder at becoming a student of the game. From here there’s nowhere to go but up so I’m looking forward to building with this team.”
