LITHONIA – The honors continue as the next stop for ReporterDarius.com brings us to Lithonia High School.

DeKalb Recruits named the Lithonia product last week as the Wide Receiver of the Year and catching up with the athlete was just as easy as his six touchdown receptions this year.

ReporterDarius: You were named the 2018 WRoY by DeKalb Recruits this week. How’s that honor felt?

Kaveh Brantley: It feels great to win Wide Reciever of the Year. I just wanna thank my quarterback on getting me the ball.

RD: Impressive season for you, describe it for us.

KB: It was a great season for me. I overcame a lot of obstacles during the season. I also did the little things to help my team win.

RD: When you were going through the season, what was your driving force?

KB: My driving force for this season were my coaches. They kept me on track and taught me more things that I didn’t know as a receiver.

RD: What did you change to improve your game throughout the season?

KB: My attitude on how I approached the game.

RD: What’s next for you?

KB: College ball.

RD: Six touchdowns this year for you, was that a goal?

KB: The goal for me was to break the county record.
