Atlanta Dream Wubble Diaries – The Beginning

Ok, cheesy title aside, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) has made its descent to IMG Academy this week.

Among those teams to reach the now affectionately named Wubble was the Atlanta Dream. An eight-hour bus ride that reached IMG on July 6th carried the retooled and rebranded team to the Wubble where they began their isolation time.

The team’s option to drive over taking flights came down to safety. But could also argue that the Dream was the closest program to make a drive to the Florida wubble as no other WNBA team is within 10-hours of Bradenton, Florida.

“We took a bus down here, everyone else flew. Safer option. Everyone is in their hotel rooms until they get two negative tests. I should clarify. Some are in hotel rooms, some are in little four-bedroom villas. So different for those of us in the villa since there’s four to a little house.”

As it stands right now, according to the source, food is being delivered to everyone so they don’t have to leave and the belief is that there are four days of quarantine as well. If there is a shortage of groceries, never fear. The source has brought some interesting news up.

“We can also get food and groceries delivered starting today.” the source said.

The Atlanta Dream is in the wubble for the summer and have not released a schedule for the season but the diaries are going to make up for it over the next few weeks if possible.

For now, check out the updated roster from the WNBA on the Atlanta Dream as well.
