Audi announced a lot of changes to their 2020 cars earlier and we’ll just break some of them down, like the Audi A3/S3.
Now, I’m not a Jalopnik and I can’t, in good faith, break down cars as well as they do. Because they do it right, but I can help you understand more about the eight upcoming changes to the Audi brands.
The 2020 model changes emphasize the brand’s growth as a leader in technology innovations leading to Audi increasing value across all models with new standard and available equipment. There were plenty of overall enhancements to infotainment and driver assistance systems as well.
2020 A3 model line
The A3 Model line will remain as Audi’s entry-level car and will have two models available for 2020. The A3 Sport with front-wheel drive and the A3 S line with Quattro all-wheel drive are both offered with Premium and Premium Plus trim levels.
All A3 models with the Premium trim will come equipped standard with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires, black optic exterior trim, Audi drive select, Audi advanced key, color driver information system, Aluminum Mistral inlays, and vehicle immobilizer adds an anti-theft alarm system with a motion sensor.
An interior storage package with rear USB charge ports, high-beam assist, and a Bang & Olufsen® Sound System are now standard on the Premium Plus trim. Available on both trims, the new Final Edition package adds front leather sport seats in either Black or Magma Red with contrast stitching, Audi Beam ring for the door puddle lights, and a 3-spoke, multi-function, flat-bottom steering wheel with shift paddles.
The A3 Sedan Sport 40 TFSI FWD comes at a price of $33,300 for the Premium and a $36,300 for the Premium Plus.
If you’re a driver who loves a sportier look for the A3, the S line Quattro, which was formerly the A3 Sedan Quattro in 2019, adds an S line exterior kit with special S line badges. There are also aluminum door sills with S rhombus as well as sportier 18-inch 5-arm design wheels.
The A3 Sedan S Line 45 TFSI Quattro is priced at $36,500 for the Premium model while the Premium Plus has a price tag of $39,500.
2020 S3 model line
The 2020 S3 models that are of the Premium Plus trim level comes standard with a Bang & Olufsen sound system, high-beam assist, interior storage package with rear USB port, and auto-dimming, power-folding, heated mirrors. On the new Premium trim, an optional Side and Rear Cross Traffic Assist package adds Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic assist and Audi parking system plus with front and rear sensors.
The 2020 MSRP for the S3 Sedan from Audi is listed at $43,000 while the Premium Plus model is set at $45,600.
The A3 and S3 models also have a new color available in Quantum Gray.
The A3 Cabriolet model will no longer be available for the 2020 model year.
