Leading 1-0 at the half the Tucker Lady Tigers scored three second half goals to seal a 4-1 victory over DeKalb rivals Clarkston Lady Angoras at Hallford Stadium on Friday night.

Freshman Jenni McIntosh gave Tucker a 1-0 lead with just under three minutes gone in the game as she found the top right hand corner of the goal at the 37:07 mark.

Both goalies, Sofia Khemani of Tucker and Maw Htoo of Clarkston, had three saves each the rest of the way in the first half and both teams misfired on big opportunities as the score remained 1-0 heading into the half.

Tucker wasted little time in the second half extending the lead to 2-0 as Olivia Keeter scored on a crossing shot from the left side into the right upper corner of the net just one minute and 21 seconds into the half. Isabella Cirino got the ball to Keeter over the defense to set up the goal.

McIntosh’s second goal of the game increased the advantage to 3-0 in favor of Tucker as she stole the ball from a Clarkston defender in the offensive end of the field and put a shot past Htoo with 16:42 remaining in the game.

Just under two minutes later McIntosh was deep in Clarkston territory for an opportunity for a hat trick, but the shot was deflected. Unfortunately for the Lady Angoras the deflection went to Tucker’s Marissa Fernandez who put it in the net from the right side to make it a 4-0 lead with 14:53 to play.

Clarkston got on the scoreboard with 4:04 to play as Milak Colette caught up to ball hit into Tucker territory over the goalie who had come out and cruised to an easy goal to make the final of 4-1.

Tucker improved to 5-7 on the season while Clarkston fell to 3-5.
